My Google Presentation

  1. Hi Daisy! I am Derkesha and I just wanted to let you know that I enjoyed your Google Presentation. I see that we have a few things in common, as far as obtaining a job at a young age and helping parents out with the younger siblings. I started my first job at seventeen and have been there since! I can honestly say that it feels good to help parents out with your siblings, knowing that you can pay for something without asking your parents, gives you a sense of independency. Also, this is my second semester here at South, and as you stated, I am proud that I decided to go to here. My other options were The University of Mobile or Springhill College. I love Auburn University also; I am a big War Eagle fan!! I just know that I could never go there, because I have an apartment, job, and as you know I am a student here at South. I love to see close knit families, reminds me of how close my siblings and I are.
The story about your father is amazing! It goes to show that you have to keep Faith in all that you do. I think that it is a mind thing; everything that the Doctors say is not true, in my opinion. We as people, just have to keep God first and pray. I have a lot of Teachers in my family also, and just like your father is your motivation to teach, they are mine. Overall, you had a creative Presentation and I enjoyed the insight of your life.

  2. Hello Daisy! I really enjoyed your presentation. Making the choice to do something you'll really enjoy doing over something that will potentially make you loads money can sometimes be difficult - I'm sure a lot of people end up in a career they hate just because it pays well. However, Confucius said "Choose a job you love, and you'll never work a day in your life."

I noticed on slide 5 that the bottom bullet point's text goes below the frame of the presentation, and is unreadable. Other than that, great slideshow!
